Soundboard Online App
This page provides clear instructions on how to submit a request for account and data deletion from the Soundboard Online service.
1. Ensure You Are Logged In
You must be currently logged into the Soundboard Online app using your "Sign in with Google" credentials to authenticate and confirm the action.
2. Navigate to Settings
In the app, go to Settings (usually represented by a gear icon ⚙️ in the top right corner).
3. Initiate Deactivation
Find and tap the "Deactivate Account" menu option.
4. Confirm Deactivation
You will see a confirmation prompt in the app stating: "You are about to deactivate your account. You can reactivate it by logging in again. After 7 days, your account and data will be permanently deleted." Tap the final Deactivate button to confirm your intent.
Upon clicking the final "Deactivate" button in the app, the following data deletion and retention process begins:
Immediate Device Data Deletion:
All user data (including temporary files) will be instantly removed from your device.
Server Data Retention (7-Day Grace Period):
Your account data and user-generated content are kept on our server for a mandatory 7-day grace period. Data retained during this period includes: Email Address, Account Identifiers (User ID), and all Uploaded Content (Memes/Sounds).
Permanent Deletion:
If you do not log back into the app within the 7-day grace period, your account and all associated data and content will be permanently and irreversibly destroyed from our servers.
Account Reactivation:
If the deactivation was accidental, you can perform a "Sign in with Google" again within the 7-day period to reactivate your account. This action will cancel the deletion process, and all your data will be retained.
Commitment to Privacy
We are committed to deleting your data in full compliance with the stated terms once the 7-day recovery period has lapsed without reactivation.
